Directions to our office
Initial Visit
Because we must thoughtfully assess your treatment requirements,
initial consultations are by appointment only. Please check in
at the front desk when you arrive.
Once you complete a registration form, you will be shown to an
examination room where you will meet with either Dr. Maddock or
Dr. Lane. The doctor will discuss your initial diagnosis with
you, your family health and history, any medications you may be
taking and symptoms you may be experiencing. Then, Dr. Maddock
or Dr. Lane will explain the treatment process to you and answer
any questions you may have.
For your second appointment, you will have a physical examination,
paying special attention to the area of involvement for which
you were referred. Then, your physician will discuss your treatment
options and whether radiation therapy is appropriate for you.
If radiation therapy is required, a simulation appointment will
be scheduled. At this time X-rays, CT scans, bone scans or laboratory
work may be ordered to assist in your treatment planning.
“On-Treatment” Visits
For your convenience, it is not necessary to check in at the
front desk when making daily or weekly on-treatment visits. When
you are on-treatment, please go directly to the dressing rooms
to change and then wait in the private on-treatment waiting area.
Routine Telephone Calls
We believe it is extremely important to be responsive to your
needs. For this reason, you will always find a member of our staff
answering the phone during business hours.
Please call our office if you have any questions regarding your
condition, medications or treatment. Depending on the nature of
the call, your call may be referred to a physician or a radiation
therapist.
Emergencies
If you have an urgent problem, please call our office for instructions.
When the office is closed, your call will be relayed automatically
to our answering service who will contact one of our on-call physicians.
If your symptoms are very distressing, please go to the nearest
emergency room and call our office/answering service who will
notify the doctor.
Insurance
While you are on-treatment at the Maddock Center, our Business
Office staff members are available to assist you with any questions
you may have regarding billing procedures, insurance claims, co-payments
and major medical deductibles. In order to ensure accurate billing,
a copy will be made of your insurance card at the time of your
registration. Your insurance company will be billed weekly and
a monthly statement will be sent to you. Please communicate any
changes in insurance coverage or financial status to the business
office during your next visit or by telephone.
We accept all private insurance plans at the Maddock Center.
Occasionally insurance companies and/or plans change. If you
have any questions about whether or not the Maddock Center accepts
your plan, please feel free to call the Business Office.
